Corina Vacco began writing about magic in New Orleans, where pretty strings of beads dangle from the oak trees; the sweltering air is full of real magic called joie de vivre; and you never know what might happen next. When a turn of fate sent her to live in the Netherlands, she began traveling off the beaten path, to places where magic has been flowing for hundreds of years and storytelling traditions run deep. A collector of curiosities, sea glass, and books, she teaches creative writing classes for children when she's not writing by the sea. She lives in Florida with her family.
